PRESIDENT’S ANNOUNCEMENT on LASAM Scientific Seminar & 30th Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Salam Sejahtera and warm greetings to all LASAM members, colleagues, and friends.
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the LASAM Scientific Seminar and 30th Annual General Meeting, which will be held on 11 September 2025 at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).
This year marks not only our 30th AGM but also a celebration of resilience, commitment, and progress. I would like to take this opportunity to announce that during the AGM, we will be holding the Election of the New Executive Committee for the 2025–2027 session. The current committee will officially be dissolved on the same day.
I would like to express my deepest appreciation to all members of the current Executive Committee. Despite having full-time academic and research responsibilities at their respective universities and institutions, this dedicated team has gone above and beyond in supporting LASAM’s initiatives. Your dedication and perseverance have not gone unnoticed. I daresay this has been the strongest and most committed line-up LASAM has ever seen, and I truly hope we can retain this momentum through the next term.

- Celebration of LASAM 30th Anniversary: Logo Design Competition
(5 November 2023 – 8 March 2024) - Majlis Jasamu Dikenang – A special appreciation ceremony for Exco 2021–2023 and Exco 2023–2025, together with our Hon. Former President Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahim Mutalib & Spouse and Hon. Former President Dr. Anisah Nordin. (6 January 2024)

Each of these milestones would not have been possible without the collective efforts and passion of this committee. I sincerely thank every one of you.
As we prepare to pass the torch to the next line-up of leaders, I encourage all LASAM members to attend the AGM and participate in the election process. Your voice matters in shaping the future of LASAM.
Let us continue this journey together, in support of ethical research, collaborative learning, and a stronger national community for laboratory animal science.
